About BuildsHub
AI-powered PC building for everyone
What is BuildsHub?
BuildsHub is a free AI-powered PC builder that generates fully compatible custom PC builds in seconds. Describe your budget and use case in plain English — gaming, video editing, streaming, content creation, or everyday use — and our AI recommends compatible components with real market pricing and direct Amazon buy links.
We launched BuildsHub because building a PC has a real barrier to entry: you have to understand CPU sockets, RAM types, PCIe compatibility, PSU wattage calculations, and a hundred other technical details before you can even begin. We wanted to remove that barrier entirely, so anyone — from complete beginners to experienced builders looking to save time — could get a fully thought-out parts list in seconds instead of hours.
How we built this
BuildsHub uses the Anthropic Claude AI model, instructed with a curated database of current PC components and their verified prices. We maintain a manually reviewed parts list that we update weekly based on real Amazon pricing — not estimated or scraped data that may be out of date. Every build the AI generates uses parts from this verified database, so the prices and compatibility information are accurate as of the last update date shown on each build.
Our compatibility checking works by constraining the AI to only select parts that physically work together: CPU socket matches the motherboard, RAM type (DDR4 vs DDR5) is correct for the platform, PSU wattage is sufficient for the selected components. The AI also applies budget allocation logic — prioritizing GPU spending for gaming builds, CPU for workstation builds, and balancing all components for streaming setups.
Our content and pricing standards
All blog articles on BuildsHub are written by our team of PC hardware enthusiasts with hands-on experience building and testing PC configurations. We do not publish affiliate-driven recommendations — our picks are based on performance and value at the time of writing, and we update articles when market conditions change significantly.
Prices in our builder and blog articles reflect Amazon market prices at the time of update. PC component prices can change daily — use the Amazon links to see current pricing before purchasing. Our AI builder explicitly shows the date prices were last verified so you can judge the freshness of the data.

Country and currency support
BuildsHub automatically detects your country and shows pricing in your local currency with links to the appropriate Amazon storefront. We support United States (USD, amazon.com), Canada (CAD, amazon.ca), United Kingdom (GBP, amazon.co.uk), and Germany (EUR, amazon.de). If you are in a different country, links default to amazon.com in USD.
Price conversions for Canadian users account for the approximate CAD/USD exchange rate. Prices are shown from our verified database in the correct currency where available, or converted from USD prices with a clear notation. Always verify final pricing on Amazon before purchasing.
Affiliate disclosure
BuildsHub participates in the Amazon Associates Program. We earn a small commission when you purchase products through our Amazon links — at no additional cost to you. This affiliate revenue helps us keep the service free and fund ongoing development. Our commission does not influence our AI recommendations — the AI selects components based on compatibility and value, not affiliate rates. Amazon pays the same commission rate regardless of which specific product is linked.
We also plan to display Google AdSense advertisements on some pages of the site. These advertisements are served by Google and are separate from our editorial recommendations.
Rate limiting and fair use
The AI builder is rate-limited to 5 free build generations per day per user. This limit exists because each AI generation has a real cost, and we want to keep the service free for as many users as possible. The daily limit resets at midnight UTC. If you need more than 5 builds in a day, the Compare tool generates two builds simultaneously and counts as one generation. The Builds Library provides instant access to pre-generated builds with no limit.
Privacy
BuildsHub does not require account creation or sign-up. Your generated builds are stored locally in your browser using localStorage — they are not sent to or stored on our servers unless you explicitly use the Share function. The Share function stores a single build in our database (Redis) associated with a random short ID, with no personal information attached.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns, and standard Vercel server logging for error monitoring. We do not sell data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
